Hipstamatic Diary developed over several years as a daily lo-fi photo journal shaped by deliberate constraint. Each image was produced within the predefined aesthetic framework of the Hipstamatic app, using fixed films, lenses and frames. The lo-fi approach is not nostalgic but intentional: a conscious counterpoint to high-resolution perfection and seamless digital polish. By embracing limitation, the project investigates how technical frameworks influence perception and authorship.
Through repetition and restriction, a coherent visual language emerges, situating the work between diary, archive and formal study. The series reflects on contemporary image-making under digital conditions — where immediacy, mediation and stylization continuously intersect.
